I was commissioned to sculpt a life-size bronze statue honoring the memory Ralph Baer, the inventor who created the first home video games console and led the team that created the first home video games, Pong, Simon, etc. It was erected and displayed at Arms Park in Manchester, New Hampshire.
As someone that has worked in video games for most of my working career, it felt like a great honor to create a representation of the "Father of video games".
Some of the finer details were removed to help with the casting of the final statue and bench supplied by the client.
The model was sculpted in ZBrush.
The photos of the statue were taken from various sources from the net and are not my own. Photos included to show final result after milling & bronze casting.
